First, I’d immerse myself in understanding Fishbrain's current UX initiative , its customer journeys and its ecosystem—especially within the product or solution areas I’ll be focusing on. Then, I’d work with product, stakeholders and support teams to identify quick wins where UX can immediately reduce friction or add clarity.
Simultaneously, I’d map out longer-term opportunities to strengthen the discovery processes and feedback loops. My goal would be to start delivering small, but meaningful improvements quickly while laying a foundation for a scalable UX strategy. I would also take inventory of the current design system and try to learn Fishbrain's brand guidelines quickly, to ensure that the brand won't be misrepresented.
I would also want to meet the whole team on a 1-on-1 basis to get a feel who I will be working with, their competenses and their personalities.
